“Himachal Industry Post Incentive Era – Turning Aspirations into Realities”
This is to share that BBN Industries Association organised an Interactive Session with theme “Himachal Industry Post Incentive Era – Turning Aspirations into Realities” with Sh. Jai Ram Thakur, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh in the gracious presence of Sh. Bikram Singh, Hon’ble Industries Minister of the State of HP & Sh. Parmajeet Singh Pammi, MLA Doon on 26th April 2018 at Hotel Holiday Home, Shimla.

Mr. Shailesh Aggarwal welcomed all the dignitaries and Industry members. Various issues pertaining to Industry at State Level as well as at Central Govt. level were raised through a power point presentation by Mr. Rajender Guleria, Immediate Past President, BBNIA.
State Level Issues:
Ø Regulating the Monopolistic Practices of Transport System prevalent in the State
Ø Strengthening & Empowering BBNDA
Ø Separate State Budgetary Grant of Rs. 30.00 Crores for construction 3 Model Roads in BBN Area
Ø Setting up of Civic Solid Waste Plant in BBN Area
Ø Rejuvenating Investment Promotion Cell & Setting up of Industrial Advisory Council with Industries Representation
Ø Formation of Policy for rehabilitation of Sick Industrial Units in the State.
Ø Competitive power tariff
Ø Enhancing ease of doing business for Pharma cos. by increasing the No. of licensing authorities in the state.
Ø Exempting industries from property tax in municipal areas
Ø Rationalization of land rates in industrial areas
Ø Abolishing rental charges and share of unearned profit for industries already run for 10years
Ø Simplifying permission under 118 and grant of power connection to new industrial units under single window system, which at present is not included in composite form.
Govt. of India or Neighbouring States Issues:
Ø Announcement of Hill State Policy for Northern Hill State on line of NE States
Ø Speeding up of Land Acquisition Process on Haryana Portion so that 4 Laning of NH 21A & Rail Link CHD-Baddi may take off.
Ø setting up of Trauma Centre in BBN Area with grant from MoHFW, GoI
Ø Heli Taxi Service from Baddi – Shimla under UDAN
As a mark of social responsibility BBNIA contributed Rs. 38.37 lacs in Chief Minister relief fund through its member industries. Highest contribution of Rs. 10.00 lacs was made by TVS Motor Company Ltd.
Hon’ble Chief Minister & Industries Minister both expressed their gratitude for contribution made by BBNIA. They gave a patient hearing to the points raised by BBNIA and were highly receptive to the issues. They also mentioned that certain issues may take some time to address but Hon’ble Chief Minister announce few reliefs for the Industry on the spot.
